Along the path of self-improvement, I mean SELFCONQUERING, you will inevitably find a higher self in you. A higher source of power.
Or just put simply: energy.
You will realize that there is not just your physical body, there is also an energetic body within and around you. Once you discover that, you will want to take care of this body as well.
There are many spiritual paths you can take. This post will be a beginners guide to the 7 Chakras, simply because I started with those and they are – in my opinion – the easiest to begin with. If it is only for the Youtube videos you can listen to to heal them.
Are Chakras a real thing?
Well, who knows? This is a general issue we have with anything spiritual or energetic. We cannot really prove it (except for the Divine Matrix, for example) and most people (especially men) are very hesitant when it comes to these things.
“Haha, yoga and astrology. Women’s fancy things, I live in the real world.” –Any “cool” man.
See, the most powerful men of the past were spiritual leaders. Jesus created a movement that 2,000 years later still has multiple millions of followers.
Spirituality is a very powerful thing. Not to control others (even though that works I guess) but to control yourself. To FIND yourself. Thus, I don’t want to debate Religion or not. Trying to heal and balance your Chakras works. It works for me and it has worked for many other people.
However, after all, this is 100% a question of your belief. I don’t need to convert anyone, because balancing Chakras – or anything energetic for that matter – ONLY works if you discovered it yourself. As in, the realization came to you one way or another.
So, yes, they ARE real. But not for everyone.
With that out of the way, let us quickly discern what Chakras actually are.
What are Chakras? What do Chakras mean?
If you think of your body, you have veins and arteries, organs, etc. This is the structure of your physical body. And we also know that the heart creates an energetic field around us, expanding beyond our body.
The blood flowing, the nerves connecting, all of this also has a subtle, energetic body. Or rather, all of it BUILDS a body within you outside the physical realm. This is the idea in traditional yoga of the “pathways.” Also called “nadis.” You have about 172,000 nadis in your body. And through those, your force (blood) flows, called “prana.”
All of these nadis converge somewhere in the body. Pathways where they cross and connect. This means there are 109 chakras in your body.
“Didn’t you say 7???”
Yes, the most well-known and biggest “conjunctions” or chakras are the 7 I will cover in this guide. And it’s easier to start with them. But there are way more.
“Chakra” means “wheel.” So you can think of the chakras as roundabouts on the pathways of your life force. A nerve center where they meet and converge. So, naturally, if that roundabout is clogged up, or if the “traffic” can’t flow properly, the whole system is having issues.
This is the image you can keep in mind to understand the 7 Chakras and why it is so important to balance them or heal them.
There is another metaphor that works quite well. Interestingly enough, it is from a children’s comic series. Avatar. If only we had more such shows for our children, right?
Each chakra is associated with a different emotion, energy patterns, and qualities.
How to raise your vibration by balancing the chakras?
Why do we do all this anyway?
Simple. We want to balance our energetic body, remove blockages, so the energy can flow freely and we get access to our higher self (the crown chakra).
This will help you to get profound spiritual experiences (like an Out-Of-Body-Experience) as well as a better understanding of yourself, life, etc. It can also help you to release certain pains in the physical body, as well as mental pains. Like depression, negative feelings, emotional blockages.
Overall it’s a greater balance of yourself.
It’s funny to me that the phrase “I’m just vibin, yo.” made it into the general public, without most people understanding what it truly means. The Principle of Vibration is a real thing. Everything vibrates at all times. I talked about this in the post about the 7 Hermetic Principles. (See the Number 7 pop up everywhere? Well, there’s something to it…)
So this beginners guide to chakras and how to balance them will also help you to raise your vibration. Thus experience a higher self and a higher being. Through meditation and/or yoga. Or just by listening to music.
Most people also talk about removing blockages of the chakras, which is generally important, it is, however, better to balance all the chakras, so there is an even flow. There is no point in unblocking your Heart Chakra when the root Chakra still blocks everything.
However, for this blog post, we focus on unblocking them in the correct order (yes, there is an order) because you most likely have a ton of blockages if you never did anything like that.
The issue of different energetic systems
One last thing before we start.
Balancing the chakras means balancing the direction of flow. In the case of the chakras, this means from the Root to the Crown. From the bottom up. If the energy flows upwards, you will feel good. If it flows downward, you feel lethargic.
This, for example, fully contradicts the Qabbalistic idea of energies and the Tree of Life. Where energy is supposed to come from the Crown (Kether), your higher self, the Divine, the Infinite, and flow down to Earth, the Elements (Malkuth) to create reality there.
So you can already tell that it is, as always, a question of belief and what works for you.
I, for example, started with the Chakras and I had a great effect with it. I also tried the Qabbalistic Cross to balance it the other way round. Honestly, both work for me and I still mix them. Maybe I get diminished results this way as opposed to sticking to one. But as long as it works? I don’t see an issue with it.
This is, however, something you need to try for yourself.
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Root Chakra
Now that we have an understanding, let’s go in the (correct) flow of the Chakras. We start with the Root Chakra.
MULADHARA meaning basis of existence – mula = root + dhara = basis (of existence)
Location: The perineum, or the base of the spine
Dealing: Deals with survival and joy of life
Blocked by: Fear, anxiety
Effect: A free-flowing root chakra enables us to feel and enjoy life. A blocked root chakra makes life dull and uninteresting (depression)
Todo: Ask yourself what fears are holding you back? What are you truly afraid of? Where is your survival in danger?
How to Unblock the Root Chakra?
These days, the Root Chakra is mostly blocked by money. Poverty is the biggest fear people have in most cases. Thus making money can unblock your root chakra. Or, which is what I would recommend, changing your attitude towards money and understanding why money makes you happy.
All fears are made up in your mind. They are not real until you make them real in your mind. Especially when it comes to money, it’s not really the fear of poverty, it’s the fear of losing your status in the herd.
Keeping up with the Joneses. Being an outcast in your current social circle.
Accept that this fear was instilled in you by society. It’s not really something you fear. It’s something you were told you SHOULD be fearful about. If you were to lose everything, you would still survive. Potentially find new, better friends and partners.
Fear of losing your girlfriend or wife is an emotional attachment that is unhealthy. Practice detachment.
At the end of this post, I will link a Youtube clip that balances all 7 Chakras in about 20 minutes (3 minutes per Chakra). However, for each chakra, I add a clip that focuses solely on this Chakra underneath the headline.
What I would recommend for you to do is to take a week for balancing them. Each Chakra per day. Listen to those clips for at least an hour.
The effect gets multiplied if you meditate while listening to it. If you use incense to stimulate the senses, etc.
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Sacral Chakra
SVADHISTHANA – meaning where you are established – swa = self + adhisthana = established
Location: Behind the genitals, below the navel
Dealing: creativity, (pro)creation, or lust
Blocked by: Guilt and Shame
Effect: Every creative energy is transmuted sexual energy. Thus a free Sacral Chakra does make you creative and ingenious. A blocked sacral chakra is responsible for sexual dysfunction, withheld intimacy, repressed creativity, and emotional isolation.
Todo: Forgive yourself. You are human. Everything that happened and things you did is natural. You didn’t know better. Let go of the negative energies of guilt and shame around you or what you did in the past. Especially society puts a lot of guilt and shame on sacral chakras. (You’re not supposed to be horny all the time, etc).
How to Unblock the Sacral Chakra?
Porn and masturbation block your Sacral Chakra in a big way. It is responsible for sexual dysfunction. I.e. the limp dick. Thus, it will create second guesses in your mind if you can get it up, blocking the chakra.
This not just blocks your emotions in this regard, and ruins your sexual experience, it also ruins your creativity and creation.
Thus, unblocking the Sacral Chakra is releasing the guilt you feel. Couldn’t get it up? So what? The world didn’t stop spinning, you didn’t die. The only issue is your ego is being hurt. The external validation of “being such a stud” was shattered.
It’s not your fault, you were born into an oversexualized society and porn addiction got ahold of you. Accept what happened. It’s part of your life now. Nothing to be ashamed of. And if a woman makes fun of it, realize she probably has nothing else to offer but her body.
You are more than that.
The Sacral Chakra can also be blocked but other forms of guilt and shame. Childhood traumas, etc. Accept them and work through them. A healing Subliminal Messaging program like Regeneration or Dragon Reborn can also help with this. (Be careful, though, healing programs are TOUGH on your mind because you work through a ton of emotions!)
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Solar Plexus Chakra
MANIPURA CHAKRA – meaning “city of jewels” – mani = jewel + pura = city
Location: The navel region
Dealing: Willpower, confidence, self-esteem, pleasure
Blocked by: Shame and Disbelief in yourself
Effect: A blocked Solar Plexus ruins your confidence and self-esteem. It makes you mentally weak and manipulative. You try to control others and strive for power to do so. A free Solar Plexus makes you accept people and yourself. You have no need to control others because you’re fine with yourself. People can come and go. It is none of your concern. This Chakra brings a lot of peace.
Todo: Accept who you are. What you did. What you like and enjoy. It is you and it is fine. If others don’t like that, they need to figure that out. This is not your problem. Find someone else.
Understand the abundance mindset, this will help you a lot with this chakra.
How to Unblock the Solar Plexus Chakra?
Most people have confidence and self-esteem issues simply because they base their self-worth around what other people think of them.
This is the worst way to go through life you can imagine.
The effect of this is that they try to be manipulative and controlling, so other people like them. It is, again, a question of external validation. Instagram.
People fake a life they don’t live to get the external validation from other people. They try to control what other people think of them. This is due to a massive lack of self-esteem and confidence.
You are probably the same. Trying to impress everyone.
You need to learn to validate yourself internally. Read my post about confidence and external validation.
Create something that validates you yourself. For example, running a business, or indulging in a craft where you create things you can be proud of. Your 9-5 likely won’t cut it. You need something you do and build yourself. This greatly improves your confidence.
Meditate on the clip above.
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Heart Chakra
ANAHATA CHAKRA – meaning “unstruck sound” – anahata = unstruck
Location: The heart space
Dealing: Love, hatred, and fear
Blocked by: Grief and Resentment, Anger
Effect: The Heart Chakra deals with love. Love for others, for yourself, and the world. Thus a blocked Heart Chakra ruins your relationships and your self-discipline (self-love). It also makes you hate the world and the people within it. Which usually leads to depression.
Todo: Face your grief, pains, resentment. Stop suppressing those emotions and let them flow freely once. This will release them, so they can go back to source.
How to Unblock the Heart Chakra?
This was the most important Chakra for me to unblock. I was proud of saying, “Most people are stupid, man.” Elevating myself above them.
Little did I know, that this hidden hatred towards everyone blocked my energy flow.
Even if most people are sheep and do stupid things, I don’t need to have negative emotions towards them because of it. I can still love everyone because I have accepted who they are and what they do. It also doesn’t bother me.
So what you need to do is accept people. Even if they do stupid shit, it is none of your concern. You can still love them for their failures. Also a big thing in your relationship.
If you are in a sexless marriage, you have to accept that it’s not her fault. It’s yours. If she isn’t sexually attracted to you, then this is YOUR responsibility to fix (find out how here).
You can and should still love her even with all her flaws (but be honest here, if she is a manipulative bitch, she needs to go, LOVE YOURSELF above all).
It goes even deeper in loving yourself. Your body. Your mind. Train it on a daily basis. Stop putting shitty food in your body. You need to learn to love it again.
Any sort of anger, resentment or hatred towards other people will block the heart chakra. Let go of those emotions. Hit a punching bag and accept it is most likely your fault. Or if it isn’t, there is no point in hating others. It won’t change them.
With Heartsong you can open up your Heart Chakra in just one hour. Truly powerful subliminal messaging program.
Other than that, meditating on the clip above helps a lot.
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Throat Chakra
VISHUDDHI – meaning “complete purification”
Element: Space or ether
Color: Light blue
Location: The throat
Dealing: Gratitude and truth
Blocked by: lies and jealousy
Effect: A blocked throat chakra results in shyness, being withdrawn, arrogance. A free throat chakra yields the ability to speak well and openly, being honest. It’s also mentioned often with lying to yourself about things. Thus the effect of this chakra being blocked can be far-reaching. Lies you tell yourself can be the foundation of your current life.
Todo: Ask yourself if you are being fully honest with yourself in everything you do. Or if you lie to your mental “I” in some scenarios to blend out reality.
How to Unblock the Throat Chakra?
This one is simple, but not easy. You “just” need to confront the lies you tell yourself.
You need to start with these because lies you tell others are really just an extension of you lying to yourself. If you don’t accept who you are, you are lying to yourself. Thus you are lying to others to keep the false facade running.
Go deep into yourself and find out who you are. This could mean going into the woods for 2 weeks, being fully in solitude, uncovering who you truly are, deep down. Fasting also helps with this. Monk Mode. One month of no sex, no games, movies, etc. Just being alone with your thoughts.
As I said, it is simple. But not easy.
Discover who you truly are deep down. Meditate to the clip above, while thinking about yourself, your life, and life in general. Who you want to be. What you will discover might be the complete opposite of what you are living right now. Or you’re close. But you need to be sure who you are.
As you notice, while we ascend the energies of the chakras, the methods get more complicated and “deep.” We are closing in on higher consciousness and the higher self. Thus, clearing those chakras is not “easy” if you are fully set in the materialistic world. As most people are.
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Third Eye Chakra
AJNA CHAKRA – meaning “command” or “knowledge” – ajja = order or command and jna = knowledge
Color: Dark blue/Purple
Location: The third eye, the space between the eyebrows
Dealing: Awareness, alertness, foresight, illusion, reality
Blocked by: Living fully in the materialistic world, only seeing the physical, only operating in the rational, not by intuition or gut-feeling
Effect: A blocked Third-Eye-Chakra yields a lack of direction for your life. As well as a lack of clarity. Porn, for example, also blocks your Third-Eye-Chakra because you only see the physical, the visual of the feminine and sexuality, nothing else. Although there is so much more. Extrapolate this to other realms of your life.
Todo: Stop focusing on the material alone. Stop bad habits like porn, sugary food, etc. This will raise your vibration and you will start to see more than just what the physical eye can grasp.
How to Unblock the Third-Eye Chakra?
This one is not easy. I honestly, fully recommend listening to the Mind’s Eye Subliminal Program. Even if you’re not into Subliminals, give this one a shot. It’s a light sub, designed to decalcify your pineal gland and help you to visualize better. To see when your eyes are closed.
Also, start to focus on your feelings more. When you are at a crossroads to do something, or if something needs a decision, we usually rely on our conscious mind. The rationale. Stop right there and listen to your heart, your gut, your intuition. What do you FEEL about that situation? What FEELS right to do?
I don’t recommend acting on that right away, just notice that feeling. This is your Third-Eye Chakra.
Meditate about your life and your life choice with the clip above. What do you feel? What does your gut tell you about these decisions?
Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras: The Crown Chakra
SAHASRARA – meaning “thousand-petaled” – sahasra = thousand
Location: Above the head
Dealing: Bliss, spiritual, astral realm
Blocked by: Earthly attachments
Effect: If you are emotionally (or generally) attached to things or people in your life, you block your crown chakra. Detachment is key to understand that you are nothing but consciousness. The body you drive you merely control through telekinesis.
Todo: Release all your earthly attachments from your mind. Let go of EVERYTHING you love. Don’t literally remove it. Remove your emotional connection to it. Accept it for what it is. Things or other people. They are not yours. Release control.
How to Unblock the Crown Chakra?
This might be the most difficult for most.
From birth, we are told to value things and attach to them. We give names to our cars. We make other people a big part of us, etc.
Now understand that this doesn’t mean you become an asshole that loves nobody and can’t be loved by anybody. It’s actually the exact opposite. If you practice detachment, this means you don’t NEED other people.
In turn, you can actually love them more freely. You want to spend time with them as opposed to you NEED to spend time with them to have your emotional need fixed.
Someone loving from a detached standpoint does love out of purity. This is real love.
The Crown Chakra will thus yield access to the higher self, the divine, and higher consciousness. It is a spiritual path to tread and not an easy one. Especially these days, since our whole society revolves around the physical. Buying things to show off, oversexualizing the visuals of the feminine, etc.
Unblocking the Crown Chakra means removing yourself from the current society. You will most likely be considered an outcast for the things you do. I certainly am. Incense sticks, candles, and meditative rituals make me a freak I guess.
Yet, this gave me access to a higher energy most will never experience. But it’s not an easy path to tread. This is also why it is the “last” chakra of the 7. All the others need to be in place first. Your survival needs to be secured, you need to love yourself, you need confidence in yourself, etc.
If you have all this, meditate to the clip above and visualize yourself being nothing but consciousness in the universe. See yourself as a being amongst the stars.
Summary of the Beginners Guide to the 7 Chakras
You will most likely go out trying to force the balancing of the chakras. Big mistake. What you do with these meditations and thoughts is bringing awareness to the chakras.
Feeling them, experiencing them. Understanding yourself. Then, you will quickly notice the subtle, energetic body in yourself.
And if you have done that, you will ascend to higher spheres. When the Crown Chakra finally comes alive.
Here is the mentioned clip that works through all chakras quickly.
You can listen to this one every morning. This works well for me. It’s best done via speakers so you really feel the vibrations of the chants.
I wish you good luck on your journey to discovering another realm of existence.
It’s an exciting place to be and an inevitable path for many on the route of self-transformation.
